Parent Surveys

Just a reminder that if you have not completed a survey for your student(s) for JFK, a reminder email has been sent out. If you have not received a survey, you may come in and take one when you pick up your student(s). Your input is a valued part of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers evaluation.

If you come in, there is a computer waiting for you. We can have your student(s) come to the front office while you take it.

Thank you so much for helping with the evaluation- we greatly appreciate it!

Students Love to Build!

One of the best things to see is our students use their imaginations, creativity and teamwork! They use the magnetic tiles and Lego to create buildings, vehicles, objects, even food! There is so much going on with these things other than fun (but don't tell them that)!

February Activity Calendar

Race Into Reading starts February!

Just for Kids Race into Reading

Starting in February, Just For Kids After School Program will be
starting “Race into Reading.” Second Grade will be in February, First
in March and Kindergarten in April.

To win the race, students must meet their goals. If they make their
goal, then they will get a party! Every book is equal to 1 “meter” on
the track. The books that the students will read will be at their
reading level. Short stories, poems, etc. are okay as well.

Second Grade must read a total of 250 books.
Starting in March, First Grade must read a total 200 books.
In April, Kindergarten will need to read a total of 100 books.

We want students to be more comfortable and confident in their
reading abilities, and that is our goal in this race.

A reading sheet will be sent home with the students so that they can
track what they read at home. When they bring them back, their
books will be added to the track!

Thanks for your time and your help!
